Welcome to the This Black Girl Reads Summer Reading Challenge, a celebration of stories that liberate, heal, and center Black girl magic. This summer, we’re not just reading for fun, we’re reading with intention. We’re reclaiming our time, re-rooting ourselves in joy, and decolonizing our bookshelves, one page at a time.

What is the Summer Reading Challenge?
The This Black Girl Reads Summer Reading Challenge 2025 is a 2-month-long reading celebration featuring a beautifully crafted Bingo card of 20 prompts that center:
- Black women authors 🌺
- Stories from across the African diaspora 🌍
- Themes of joy, resistance, healing, and radical imagination ✊🏾✨
- Diverse, decolonized perspectives 📚💥
All you need to do is complete 1 bingo line (5 prompts in a row) to be entered into our draw for a fabulous prize!
🎯 How to Join
- Download the Bingo Card (click here)
- Read any 5 books that complete a line (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal)
- Share your progress using the hashtag #ThisBlackGirlReadsChallenge and tag @thisblackgirlreads
- Submit your completed line by August 31, 2025 to be entered to win!
