Every week, authors reach out asking if I’d share their books with the This Black Girl Reads Community.
It’s one of my favourite messages to receive because I know how much heart, courage, and sacrifice goes into writing a book, especially as an independent or emerging author.
Over the years, TBGR has become more than a Bookstagram page. It’s a community of thousands of readers who believe in celebrating Black stories, supporting Black authors, and building a culture where our books are seen, discussed, and loved.
To make that support sustainable, I’ve created the Community Author Spotlight, a curated opportunity for authors whose work aligns with the values of this community.
Please note: Every submission is personally reviewed. Because maintaining trust with my readers is my highest priority, I only feature books that genuinely fit the This Black Girl Reads Community.
If you’d like your book added to Books by Black Authors Coming out for the month please also fill out this form. All books submitted will be taken into consideration. There is NO fee to be added to this list.
